“From Overseas Filipino working in Korea to an Entrepreneur — How LA VIDA ROSA Was Born from Grit, Growth & Grace
Hi, I’m Ella — the heart behind LA VIDA ROSA.
For 6 years, I worked as an OFW in South Korea. Life abroad wasn’t easy, but it taught me the value of hard work, independence, and sacrifice — especially as a mom with big dreams not just for myself, but for my child.
In 2020, when the pandemic hit, I came back home to the Philippines. What was supposed to be just a short break turned into a permanent stay. I couldn’t return to Korea… and for a while, I felt stuck and uncertain. But deep in my heart, I knew — maybe this pause had a bigger purpose.
I decided to take a Virtual Assistant course, hoping to start fresh and find work online. That course became my lifeline. I didn’t just learn admin tasks — I discovered graphic design, basic website building, content writing, and so much more.

And little did I know… those skills would one day build my dream brand.
That VA course — the one I thought would just help me get clients — became the very reason I was able to start LA VIDA ROSA on a tight budget. I designed my own branding, created all the visuals, and even built this website by myself.
What I once learned for others, I now use for my own business.
Because let’s be honest — starting a business isn’t cheap. And if I hadn’t invested in that learning, LA VIDA ROSA probably wouldn’t exist today.
This is why I always tell people: never underestimate the power of learning. Sometimes, the very thing you think is just a stepping stone becomes the solid ground where your dream finally takes root.
So here I am now — not just an OFW mom who came home, but a woman who chose to grow despite the odds… and a founder who turned every skill, every tear, and every lesson into something that could inspire and uplift other women.
LA VIDA ROSA is not just a skincare brand. It’s the story of starting from scratch, believing in your purpose, and building something beautiful out of almost nothing.
And if I can do it, you can too.
